Seeing South Lake Tahoe… with a New Eye.

Cataract surgery is a wonderful thing

Cataract Surgery brings a wonderful new focus to South Lake Tahoe.

Blues like I've never seen them before. Reds and greens too. And it's truly amazing. I had been told I would see South Lake Tahoe better after cataract surgery, but I wasn't told it would be this good.

Only the right eye has been done so far, and all I can say is it's amazing. I've got 20-20 vision in one eye for the first time ever. Clarity and distance distinction, I pretty much knew that would get better, but what I didn't know was how much more vibrant color would be.

Everything is also much brighter too. It seems like the difference is light with a bluish tint compared to one that is somewhat yellow… and much more blurred.

The two images below of the forest that is our back yard are pretty much the before and after.

Before cataract surgery.

The image above is close to what my left eye sees now. The image below is what my right eye sees now.

There is a period of further adjustment on this first eye. But all is well, and I really look forward to seeing what South Lake Tahoe really looks like with both eyes. Will have to wait until the 29th though, when the left eye becomes free of its obfuscating cataract too.

South Lake Tahoe, CA Market Data… that’s fit to print.

The Lake Tahoe Real Estate Blog and the Tahoe Daily TribuneThe Lake Tahoe Real Estate Blog and the Tahoe Daily Tribune

We much like the relationship we have with our local newspaper, the Tahoe Daily Tribune. It's based on many years of providing accurate real estate data for our public.

Today we got a call from them asking for our immediate help. It's data they needed internally, and they needed it quickly. At that moment we were working on a presentation for a Denver meeting next week about our new real estate applications (see this video), and we were only honored to stop what we were doing and help our local newspaper.

Here's what they needed, and we thought it would be a nice update as to where our real estate market is today compared to all of last year.
