Good newsSmall Business Job Growth Gearing Up!

We like this one from CNNMoney.com this morning, and we're starting to notice a upswing in the flow of good economic news recently (yes, its a good thing).

We also like that this news of today is the catalyst for a 238 point jump in the DOW, and a spike in NASAQ too, as of this moment this South Lake Tahoe Wednesday morning.

As we have consistently posted for some time, a return to a healthy U. S. jobs market is the foundation for growth in the housing industry. We also anticipate when growth in the housing market becomes more apparent it will come with increasing mortgage interest rates. A few points from the article:

  • The job growth here comes from private sector employers, which added some 93,000 U.S. jobs in November. Some 54,000 of those jobs came from businesses with fewer than 50 employees.
  • One economist, Joel Prakken, Chairman of Macroeconomic Advisers, calls this a "surge" for small business hiring.

The article continues that this is good news for the broader economy. Small business hiring is "something of a precondition to get the unemployment rate moving in the right direction."
