High Altitude Hits that Rock South Lake Tahoe

We were tickled when we heard our neighbor's child read the weather report for South Lake Tahoe the other day. On the radio!

KRLT, to be precise. Community involvement and promotional activity around the lake personify local radio station KRLT at 93.9 FM. Great music, too ! DJs Howie Nave, Steve Harness, Stacy Lynn, and Dona Baxter keep things moving all day all night !

When not doing the morning show "Howie's Morning Rush", Howie is the host/emcee of The Improv six nights a week.

He's also active in the Lake Tahoe community hosting a series of benefit shows for Hurricane Katrina Relief, organizing benefits for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Relay-for-Life American Cancer and Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, local fundraisers, and has also been overseas entertaining the troops in Kuwait and Iraq.

Steve Harness is the program director @ KRLT. Join Steve on sister station KOWL (1490 AM) every weekday morning for live coverage of local, regional, national & International news stories.  His  “Talk of Tahoe” features locals live on the radio.

Stacy Lynn, and Dona Baxter round out the rest of the day, bringing their years of on air experience to their listeners.

KRLT keeps all of us – visitors and locals – informed on local events of all kinds – entertainment, local government and environmental groups, fundraising – you name it, they're telling us about it. Add in the great music they play and you've got what we call a great mix!
