South Lake Tahoe, CA snow is king!Road Ready for South Lake Tahoe Winter Season

We’ve got more early snow here in South Lake Tahoe than we’ve had in years. Since we’ve lived here to be exact. In our winter mountain resort wonderland, don’t you just know it, snow is king!

With all of that, an army of  600 employees, 355 plows, blowers, and other equipment, 12 maintenance stations and the combined efforts of California Highway Patrol, Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and local government will scour roughly 1,330 lane-miles of mountain roads in the region this winter.

In other words, Caltrans and NDOT is ready. And their goal is for you to get to and from here safely. Our goal is that too, and to have as much fun as you want to while here.

Here’s the recent article about all of the planning and preperation to keep our roads safe for you throughout our winter season. We thought it interesting.

Enjoy, travel safe, and have fun.
