Tahoe Youth & Family Services receives $50,000 3-year grant
After a yearlong grant process, Tahoe Youth & Family Services announced that The California Wellness Foundation has awarded $50,000 each year for the next three years.
The Drop-In Center and services for homeless and runaway youths is funded in part by a grant from The California Wellness Foundation. Created in 1992 as an independent, private foundation, TCWF’s mission is to improve the health of the people of California by making grants for health promotion, wellness education and disease prevention.
The $150,000 in grant funding will enhance counseling and case-management services for homeless and runaway youths in and around the South Lake Tahoe area.
Tahoe Youth & Family Services is located at 1021 Fremont Ave. in South Lake Tahoe. For more information, call (530) 541-2445, or visit www.TahoeYouth.org.
