Have you ever wondered where Nevada Home Buyers come from?

We thought you might find this interesting. It comes from an article in the Las Vegas Sun.

Although many sales in the Nevada real estate market in 2009 have been short sales or foreclosure properties (about 50% in South Lake Tahoe), movement in the market isn't being propelled solely by bargain-hunting investors.

Statewide about 60% of home buyers will reside in the Nevada home they buy. Here in our second home resort market in South Lake Tahoe it's about opposite; some 65% of our home owners live elsewhere.

The Top Ten States who give Nevada our home buyers:

1. California (no surprise here)
2. Utah (this surprised us, as we don't normally see many folks from Utah buying here in South Lake Tahoe.)
3. Illinois
4. New York
5. Washington
6. Texas
7. Colorado
8. Arizona
9. Florida
10. New Jersey
