The South Lake Tahoe Real Estate Market Compared to all of California.

All Real Estate is LocalSo things are a bit different in South Lake Tahoe… what else is new?

Most of the time, comparing one real estate market to another is an apple and  oranges kind of thing. Nevertheless, we thought it would be helpful to look at a recent article by the California Association of REALTORS® (CAR) and compare it to your South Lake Tahoe real estate market.

With recent national, doom and gloom news about the California real estate market as a whole, we wanted to look at just what the state of the market is, and then see what differences there may be, if any that are relevant to South Lake Tahoe.

South Lake Tahoe Home Sales Update: The Tahoe Keys

There are great values to be had in The Tahoe Keys in South Lake Tahoe right now.

It’s a Buyers Climate, and there’s great value to be had in one of South Lake Tahoe’s prime neighborhoods.

One of the main characteristics of the vacation home buyer is they are rarely ever in a hurry. We understand and very much agree with that.
 
This is one of the reasons why we update our information consistently. The idea is not to urge, but to help Buyers make the best and informed decision possible whenever that time might come.  Good information leads to a better understanding of value, and an informed decision is almost always better than a quick one.

When something significant does come up, or a particular opportunity, we also think it’s responsible to make that known as well. The current market condition in the Tahoe Keys is one of those opportunities.

Is Good News out of Business? It ain’t necessarily so… for South Lake Tahoe.

The national real estate news rarely ever applies directly to South Lake TahoeDoes the media giant smell the blood of a… buyer? (Even though prices are better for them?)

Last week was a doozy. For two days it rained a torrent of national real estate news. All of it packaged as “bad”, it was a headline blitzkrieg mixed with fact, assumption, projection, hyperbole and sensationalism.

Amid the barrage, there is good information, and a lot of exaggeration that does not apply to South Lake Tahoe. First here’s some of the headlines:
